Scott was a close friend of mine. We had so many good memories and stories from past experiences that will last a lifetime. He knew how to have a good time and we lived it up. Everyone that was involved in Scott's life will miss him. Scott was a top notch guy who was driven to succeed. His life was full of many great accomplishments and I am proud to be a friend of Scott Whelan.

I met Scott in my first marketing class at KSU, from then on we had many classes together every semester and even ended up riding to graduation together. I also have him to thank for talking me into going on the study abroad trip to Europe where I got to know him better. He was a great guy with an amazing spirit and knew how to live life to the fullest. He will be truely missed by all who knew him.
Whelan family, Jackie, Jeremy and all his closest friends, my thoughts and prayers are with you everyday.

Dear Chuck and Bryant,
I am so sorry to hear about Scott; we went to high school together at Norcross and at Duluth. I cannot imagine having gone through my first year at Duluth without Scott. We used to ride to school together in the gold bug, and it made my day so much happier. Scott was a wonderful man, and a wonderful friend; I am blessed to have known him- he helped make me a better person. He will be very missed by myself and my family, who also loved him. Please know that your family is in our prayers, and that Scott will be remembered very fondly.

I met Scott at Kennesaw State University in Fall of 2003. I had the pleasure of being Scott’s friend then dating him for a year. He brought me out of this box I was living in coming from a small town. He taught me many things about life and how to enjoy it. He was such a special person and will be missed.
Chuck, Bryant, Nanny, Jackie and Jeremy...I am so sorry for your loss. You are all in my thoughts and prayers.

Scott and I dated for a couple years, and you couldn't ask for a sweeter, funnier, more caring person! His energy and laughter were contagious, and when I think about his laugh it makes me smile. Scott and I were not in contact as much recently, but I am glad we did get a chance to reconcile. He even came with Bryant to see my dad in the hospital this past Christmas which really touched me and my family. I will miss Scott and his unbelievable lifeforce. Chuck, Bryant, Nanny, Jackie: you are all in my prayers. God bless

Dear Chuck, Bryant, Jackie, Family and Friends,
I met Scott through Jackie in 1994. We didn't see each other very often...maybe once every six months. Everytime we saw each other though, it was like we had been hanging out everyday. He was such gracious friend and I loved all of his stories. What a story teller he was!!! Dwight and I are going to miss him dearly. My thoughts and prayers go out to you. I bet he is so happy to see his mom again. We will all see him again in heaven!

I knew Scott for nearly 10 years, and he will most certainly be missed for eternity. Scott was one of the most intelligent, energetic and determined individuals I have ever met. Scott lived his life to the greatest magnitude. He was extremely satisfied with the success of his career and always enjoyed his personal time to the fullest. I will miss seeing Scott every so often and hearing all about his latest journeys.
So long Scott. We will all be with you one day soon.

Chuck,
You may not remember me but I worked with Rhett at Peachtree Bank. By chance, I read an obituary
that was of great sadness to me. Immediatey I reconized Scott and as I read I realized you had lost Rhett.I am so sorry. I had no idea---
I just wanted you to know how much I loved Rhett and what a wonderful person and friend she was to me. The double blow is your loss of Scott. I remember when Rhett was pregnant with him. Those were happy days.
I am praying that you and Bryant will have the strength you need to get thru the days to come.

Dear Whelan Family,
I am sure you don't know me but I traveled with Scott when we went overseas to the UK in 2005 with Kennesaw State University. In addition to that, I had several classes with him as well, which gave me the opportunity to get to know Scott. He was a wonderful person that had a natural way of making everyone he was around feel like a friend and feel like they mattered. I am happy to say that I had the opportunity to get to know him for just the little bit that was allowed. The UK trip is something that I think on daily, something that lives on in my heart, as will the memory of Scott. My thoughts and prayers are with you on this day and the many more that will come after this.

It is hard to believe such a vibrant soul would be gone from this earth. Scott touched so many people in so many ways. I knew him from Reed Construction Data, while I never met him in person he was a huge support and an unbelievable friend. There are so many days that his smiling voice and encouraging emails were what kept me going. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. My heart goes out to his family and will be in my prayers. Thank you Scott for everything.

There is not enough hard drive space on this server to say how many great memories I have of Scott. He was my best friend. I have known him since 1997 when we first met at Georgia Perimeter College. From that moment I was with him every step of the way. I am so thankful to have been in his life. He will be deeply missed by all his great friends and family. He was such an asset to Reed Construction Data where he shattered sales quotas on a regular basis. He was so energetic and deeply loved children. This will leave an enormous hole to fill for so many people but I know with as many friends as he had we will all stick together and make it through this.
