Edith Roper Obituary

Edith Edie Irene (Martin) Roper

Phoenix Edith Edie Irene (Martin) Roper, of Phoenix, Arizona, born on February 6, 1943 in Indiana, passed away at age 75 on June 8, 2018. Edith is survived by her husband and protector Jerry Roper; their son, Bret Roper; daughter, Kimberly Browning; sister, Barbara Roler and beloved smelly dog, Oreo.

In her younger years Edie was a Beauty Queen and Beautician. She later owned and ran The Pink Puff Beauty Salon with sister Barbara.

Edith was an avid reader, collector of "things that 'might' be worth something someday", poker and slot player; she sure did love those "FREE" giveaways at the Casino. Edie was a giver, she gave some of her last months caring for a dying tenant, who had no one else. Edie will be remembered as a loyal wife, for her unconditional love of her children, a doting Granny and a side kick Sissy. She will always be a beauty in our hearts and minds. The family invites donations in Edith's name to Hospice of the Valley.
