Robert Martiny Obituary
Robert L. Martiny, 91, born May 25, 1925 in Chicago Illinois, passed away at La Siena retirement community in Phoenix, Arizona on May 29, 2016. "Bob" Martiny was preceded in death by his parents, Leo and Irma Martiny, and by his daughter Barbara, and is survived by his wife Katherine "Kay" Martiny, his sister Barbara Engelhardt, his son David Martiny, and his two granddaughters, Sarah and Amanda. Bob served as a 2nd Lieutenant in the U.S. Marine Corps during World War II, and used the G.I. Bill to study business administration and accounting at Northwestern University. He became a CPA and managed the finances of large businesses in the Phoenix area. He went on to own and manage several successful ventures including Neptune's Table, a popular seafood restaurant in Phoenix. Bob continued to excel in business ventures up until his death. He will be greatly missed by his family and many friends. Services will be held at the National Memorial Cemetery of Arizona on Friday, June 10th at 12:30, followed by a reception at La Siena retirement community.
