William "Bill" Dean Ellerman

Avondale - William "Bill" Dean Ellerman passed away on 02/20/21 at his residency in Avondale, AZ. William was born in Plainfield, IA on October 24, 1935 to Albert and Maxine Ellerman. He graduated from Plainfield High School in 1953. He married Janet Lynes and years later Alene Payne. Bill and Karen Ellerman (Waters) were married on December 29, 1995. He was self employed most of his adult life. He was known to many in the Valley of the Sun with the name of Bill as owner of Ellerman Plumbing Inc. that was based in Phoenix, AZ from 1978 - 1990 preceding a cave-in involving his youngest son, Don. His latest success was Accurate Plumbing in Vancouver, WA taken over by his oldest son, Allan. He loved NASCAR, the Cardinals, the Suns and mostly golf. Bill is survived by a loving wife of 25 years Karen Ellerman, seven children Allan Ellerman(Karen), DeAnn Meyer, Donald Ellerman, Vallerie Holm (Spencer), Carol Boldt (Neal), Leisa Nolte (Allan), Billie Jo Georgina, step children Dennis Hamilton (Laura), Patti Niccolli, Richard Hamilton (Lisa), John Hamilton, many grandchildren, and a brother in law John Fritcher. Bill was preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Maxine Ellerman, sister Janice Fritcher, previous wives Janet and Alene, step-son Gregory Hamilton(38), and a grandson Brian Ellerman(23). A private family memorial service will be held March 22, 2021 in the community of their seond home Greene, IA. Memorials can be sent to P.O. Box 585, Greene, IA, 50636.
