I just found out about Mrs. Kirkpatrick's passing. She was my 10th grade English teacher at Overlea High. I have fond memories of her because she helped me to become a better writer.

Stephen and Jennifer, Your mom and I were in the same department at Overlea. She was warm and wonderful, to everyone. I admired her gentle spirit and easy temperament--such rare and lovely qualities in such a lovely woman.
Know that my prayers are with you, with special intentions for the eternal peace, rest, and happiness for your parents. Our world was blessed by their all-too-short occupancy, but both of them left a legacy of accomplishment in their profession, and love in the hearts of all who knew them.

Steve and Jennifer
I am so sorry . I knew Bob and Paulette through Master Gardners, and earlier, through Steves time in Troop 35. They were both great human beings, who gave generously to their communities. They will be missed by many.

To the Kirkpatrick family - though you don't know me personally, I counted Paulette as one of my closest friends all through high school. We had long talks, baked and ate too many brownies and enjoyed the company of great friends together. I hope you find peace and comfort in all your fondest memories - as will I.

Dear Jen and Steve,
I just learned of your devastating loss. I taught with your mother at Overlea High School for several years. She helped me immensely as a new publications advisor as I grappled with learning how to advise students to produce a school newspaper, She taught tenth grade honors and, again, helped me hone my skills as a ninth grade honors English teacher. She was a friend and a true colleague. She was, above all else, a lady.

Mrs. Kirkpatrick was my yearbook teacher in 1979 and 1980. In life, you have influential and special teachers that stay with you always. She was one of them. She made you want to learn. With deepest sympathy.

To the Kirkpatrick Family: Your family has my deepest sympathies. Your Mom was my mentor during my high school years at Overlea High and taught me many life lessons, most of which I use today with my children. Take comfort in knowing that your parents legacy lives on in the lives of those that they touched.

To the Kirkpatrick Family:
David, Christina, Amy and I were so upset to hear of this tragic loss. Paulette and I spoke every now and then over the last few years, more so when David's mom (Blanch Collier) had to come live with us. Bob and Paulette will truly be missed and remembered fondly by so many people. They were wonderful. No bond is as great as that between a parent and child. Our deepest condolences are with you as you grieve.
Sincerly,
David and Karen Collier

Jen and Steve, I worked with your
Mom at Owings Mills High School as a
Spec. Ed. Inclusion Teacher
some 10-12 years ago. We made a great team and learned quite a bit from each other. She spoke of you both frequently with a ready smile and heartfilled laughter. I always managed to see her from time to time at Talbot's Outlet in Cockeysville and we'd stop to chat about our times at OMHS.
I will keep you both in my prayers and may you find comfort in all of the fond memories and in knowing how much she loved you both.
May God Bless and keep you strong.
Sincerely,
Toni G. Brown

To the Kirkpatricks - Just know that your parents were so much in love with each other. It showed with the adoring eyes they had for each other and holding hands. Summer Hill will miss their involvement in the neighborhood association, Novel-Tea Book Club and Garden Club. We know they made it to heaven and we pray for you in the hardest days ahead but know that they loved life and were just beginning to reap the rewards of retirement.
