Michael Eagan Obituary

It is with profound sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Michael Joseph Eagan, 34, of Pittsfield, MA, on March 26, 2025. He was the beloved son of Michael T. and Ellen M. (Belair) Eagan.

A graduate of Taconic High School in 2009, Michael went on to earn an engineering degree from Berkshire Community College. At the time of his passing, he was employed as a lineman apprentice with Eversource Electrical Services. Driven by a constant desire to learn, Michael earned numerous industry certifications and licenses, showcasing his dedication to both his craft and personal growth.

Michael was a gifted athlete, excelling in cart racing at PVIK, mountain biking, and motocross racing. His passion for these sports was matched only by his humility, as he always sought to encourage and mentor others, helping them to advance their skills and achieve their best. In every pursuit, he strove for excellence, but it was his kindness and generosity of spirit that truly set him apart.

Above all, Michael loved spending time with his family and friends. His compassion, humor, easy laughter, and genuine warmth left a lasting impression on everyone. Whether bonding with children or connecting with elders, Michael had a special way of making people feel seen and valued. He was the "fun uncle," creating cherished memories with his nephews, always making time for them.

Though his time with us was far too short, the love and joy Michael shared will resonate forever in the hearts of those who knew him. He leaves behind his sister, Kristin (Tony) Brogan, his nephews, Connor Peltier, Jace & Cole Brogan, his uncles, William Eagan, Dan (Kelly) Belair and Rich (Laura) Belair, as well as his cherished cousins Monique Belair, Nicole (James) Rugg, Lindsay Belair (Mikhail), and many others.

In addition to his family, Michael was blessed with a close-knit circle of friends, whose companionship meant the world to him. We would especially like to acknowledge his lifelong friendships with Chad, Ian, Matt, and Kristen. Together, they shared countless memories, including the much talked about Australia trip, Saturday Supercross race parties with pizza and ranch dressing, and so many more - moments that Michael treasured deeply.

I am so sorry to hear of this. Mike was a good young man that I got to know through work at the GE site. He was a really nice person, friendly, polite & incredibly smart. He will be missed by many.
