Not sure what to say?

Just a small handful of the vast number of Rick's coworkers from over the years.

Dear Leslie and the Gillis family:

Based on how heartbroken I am, I cannot even conceive of the pain and shock you must be experiencing. Rick was so much more than a boss to me; he was a friend, mentor, and sage. He believed in me so sincerely, and as such, he inspired a certain confidence that I will have the pleasure of retaining for the rest of my personal and professional life. Perhaps my deepest regret is that I will never get to show him my future successes, whatever they may be, even though he was greatly responsible for them.

Rick set forth a certain standard of camaraderie and respect in our workplace. As a result, my colleagues and I are as equipped to handle this loss as we can be. We will never get over losing Rick, but his spirit will get us close.

With love and sympathy,
Evan Sanders

It was with great shock and sadness to learn of the passing of an old friend and former classmate at St. Mary's in Brookline. Rick re-established his friendship with the Class of 1971 after our 30th Class Reunion and it was a pleasure to sit, chat, and laugh with him about old times and the antics of the "nuns" in the high school as well as the grammar school! He was a sincere, loyal man who loved his wife, Leslie, and was dedicated to his Mom. May he rest in peace and may his wife and family obtain solace in the loving memories they have of him. He will always live in your hearts. I extend my most sincere sympathy to all of Rick's family.
