I will never forget the good times we had or the many discussions about so many things over a beer, a dry Johnny Walker Red Rob Roy straight up, no twist and a bottle of St. Emilion over dinner after a day of work at First Federal S & L of Annapolis. After one late night, we celebrated the next day at Middleton's Tavern on the porch at the city dock and went through two bottles of Dom Perignon. The dinners at your and Dinah's house were always memorable, finished with real percolated coffee. The lessons about business, the importance of kindness and treating people well, and the calculations of continuous compounding using limits and derivatives. It was always challenging. On August 24, 1983, we even witnessed a bit of baseball history at Baltimore's Memorial Stadium when Tippy Martinez picked off three Toronto Blue Jays from first base, still a major league record, and the Orioles used so many players that Len Sakata had to catch! They finally won in the tenth inning. I know you are home now with Dinah, your lovely wife, probably hosting a heavenly dinner. I will never forget you, Kingsy, rest in peace.
God bless,
Dave Nelson

Alan, as many times as you bounced back from major health issues, we were stunned that this most recent one would be the end. You were amazing in way you dealt with your health issues; always bouncing back, never complaining, always looking ahead. We have so many fond memories of you and your beloved Dinah. Decades of Christmas dinner extravaganzas at Dinah´s Mom´s and my Mom´s, and the four of us continuing that tradition for years afterwards. Harry Browns, Adams, the Outer Banks... so many lovely memories. I will miss our Maryland centered discussions; memories of the good old days, sports, singing in the car with you... thanks from me, Marci, and the girls for being a big part of our lives. I hope you and Dinah are enjoying cocktails with the ancestors at a heavenly Pelican Beach. I miss you. God bless you.
With much love,
-Ted, Marci, Mallory, Lillian, and Tom
