Melvin Hayden Obituary
He was born April 8, 1959 to the late McArthur and Veanetta Hayden. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Samuel Hayden.
He graduated from Goochland High School and was employed with Pleasant Hardware for 30+ years and then went on to MCV for 13 years.
His memories will be cherished by his devoted wife Rosetta Hayden; his daughter Brittney Hayden; and granddaughter Maliyah. Also left to cherish his memories are two brothers, James Hayden (Lisa) of Staunton, and Jerry Pace of Charlottesville; two sisters, Theresa Richards (John) of Columbia, and Jeanetta Holmes (Johnny) of Goochland; a devoted mother-in-law Alma Price; brothers-in-law Morton Price (Clarissa) and Grayling Price (Margaret), both of Louisa, and Tyrone Price of Prince George; a sister-in-law Janice Hayden-Slyngard; three aunts, Ethleean Pace (Joseph) of Goochland, Mary Logan of Staunton and Edna Athy of Richmond; a devoted cousin, Eugene Pace; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were held on Sunday, November 4, 2018 at County Line Baptist Church, 4070 County Line Road, Kents Store, Va. 23084, with Rev. Wesley Tolliver officiating. Interment followed in the church cemetery.
