Phyllis ONeil Obituary

WELLSVILLE- Phyllis Arlene ONeil, age 83 of Wellsville, KS passed away Wednesday, September 16, 2009 at Olathe Medical Center. Funeral services will be 10AM, Saturday, September 19, 2009 at Wilsons Funeral Home. Visitation will be 6-8PM, Friday, September 18, 2009 also at the funeral home. A private family burial will take place at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to the Wellsville United Methodist Church or the Wellsville Recreation Commission in care of Wilsons, PO Box 486, Wellsville, KS 66092. Phyllis A. (Seyler) ONeil was born May 18, 1926 in Topeka, KS the daughter of Charles W. and Ora Bell (Cramer) Seyler. She grew up in Topeka with her family until moving to the Wellsville area around her middle school years. She graduated from Wellsville High School in 1944. She attended the University of Kansas for one year and on April 19, 1946 she married Frank Glenn ONeil. They were married 63 years before her passing. He survives at the home. Phyllis began working at Baker University in 1966. She was the administrative assistant to the vice president of Student Services until she retired in May of 1991. Phyllis is survived by her husband of the home; son and daughter-in-law, Roger and Marcia ONeil, son and daughter-in-law Rick and Colleen ONeil and daughter and son-in-law, Janine and Larry Dwyer, all of Wellsville. 7 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, one niece and one nephew. She is preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Vallis.
