Clarence Shaddock Obituary
Hernando, MS
Clarence Leo "C.L." Shaddock, Jr., 70, passed away Tuesday, May 30, 2017 at his home in Hernando. He was a graduate of Louisiana Tech University and earned his M.B.A. from the University of Houston. He was a brilliant, multi-talented man. He was a chemical engineer and an Olympic swimmer whose greatest love was music. He turned down an opportunity to play trumpet with Doc Severinsen on the Tonight Show in order to pursue his education, a decision he probably regretted. Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Thursday at Hernando Memorial Park. Hernando Funeral Home has charge. Survivors include his wife, Marsha Womack Shaddock; son, Brian Cheslee Norwood (Christy) and granddaughter, Anslee Claire Norwood, all of Hernando. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Mississippi Music Foundation, 2521 Caffey Street, Hernando, MS 38632 for a scholarship in his name.

Mr. Clarence Leo Shaddock, Jr. was one heck of a nice guy, just a good fellow. We are so thankful we got to know CL as a close friend. He would do anything for anybody, he was the type of guy that would give you his own shirt right off of his back. A very kind and gentle person, always with a smile for you. Wow, could CL blow that trumpet. He was a real "hot lips" on the trumpet. If you never did hear him play his trumpet, you really missed a great show. CL will be up there, playing "When The Saints Come Marching In" on his Trumpet for every one to enjoy. Rest In Peace, Ole Buddy. Love you. Our Hearts and Prayers are with The C.L. Shaddock Family, and Friends.
