Kevin Watson Obituary

KEVIN BRADLEY WATSON, 31, passed away Thursday June 1, 2006, in Atlanta, Georgia from natural causes. He attended Memphis University School and graduated from Lausanne Collegiate School. He was an undergraduate student at Emerson College where he studied theatre. Kevin was his happiest living in San Francisco where he pursued his many artistic talents. Kevin was a loving son, brother, uncle, and friend to all that knew him. He leaves his mother, Carole Michael; his father, James T. Watson; his stepfather Martin Michael, his stepmother, Robin Watson; his brother, Todd Watson & sister-in-law, Stacey Watson; his sister Amanda Watson Johnson & brother-in-law, Stanley Johnson. He also leaves his two precious nieces, whom he adored, Ella Grace and Elizabeth Louise Watson. He also leaves his grandfather, James L. Watson; his aunt, Vicki Tolbert of Seattle, WA; his uncle, Jeffrey Watson of Dallas, TX; and many dear friends. While the last few years of Kevin's life were quite difficult, his life was most certainly blessed with many talents, and he touched the hearts and lives of many with knowledge, wit, perspective, creativity, and laughter. Kevin will be dearly missed by all that knew him. A memorial service will be held at Christ United Methodist Church at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday. Memorials may be sent to Youth Villages or Streets Ministries.

Dear Amanda, Carole and family:

There are many wonderful memories of Kevin and some of them are: high school graduation, San Francisco (brunch with all of you), playing with Boyd -- the pug, Christmas holidays, and literature discussions. Nathan, my son, has many acquaintances but holds his friendships as treasures. Kevin was one of those treasures that we both shall miss because of his warmth, loyalty, lovely manners and elegance.

Always,

Sandy Walsh and Boyd

I remember Kevin vividly from the time we spent doing theatre together at MUS and Hutchison. His wit and warmth made those days so much more enjoyable for all of us. Although we lost touch, I have thought of him often over the years and those thoughts have always made me smile.

He and your family are very much in my thoughts now. Please take care.
