I never had the honor of meeting Anne in person, but we did exchange phone calls and letters. I heard many fond memories about her from my dad, including the many times that he would call her and wake her up in the middle of the night to chat, because he'd forgotten about the 3-hour time change. At the end of dad's life, she was the one who called and talked me through the difficult decisions and offered support, even though she was also losing a brother. There are no words to describe how much I appreciated her. Wishing her family comfort in their memories. Rest in peace Aunt Anne.

To the Prendergast Family. I just read the obituary of Anne. So sorry for the loss of a great caring, compassionate person. Though I have never met her nor your family, I do know she is a relative of mine from far back (Johnathan Dustin Cheney). She seemed to of lived life to its fullest and like most of my relatives, a good long life to be able to see her bigger family now. She cared for so many people during her career as well. May she continue to live in all of her family lives into the future. She is now at peace with God Almighty.

Mrs. Prendergast was a wonderful woman who made my first year of teaching so much easier. I had her son, John, as a student, and "flying blind" through the year, with much guidance from Mrs. Prendergast, I made it through, to teach for 28 years. She was one of the most understanding parents I ever met. My condolences go out to John and the rest of her family

I knew Anne quite well. She was the most forgiving person I ever met. I once asked her, "What did you think of Adolph Hitler?" She replied, "Nice painter." That's the way Anne was. Forgiving. She will be greatly missed by family and friends. Always, your friend, Bernard
