Daniel Lampton Obituary
Scott attended Tennyson Grade School, Boonville Junior High and Boonville High School. He previously worked at Gordman's and as a DJ at Someplace Else in Evansville.
Scott was preceded in death by his grandparents, Ed and Lula Lampton and Lois Franz. Scott is survived by his partner, Theo Kostaridis of Evansville; his parents, Danny and Nadine Lampton of Boonville; grandfather, Leonard Franz of Tennyson; sister, Mindy VanZee (Dirk) of Boonville; niece, Morgan VanZee and nephew Trent VanZee; brother in spirit, Dustin Basham; aunts, uncles and cousins and the Joy of his Life, Cleopatra, Athena Ruby and Precious and many friends.
Funeral service 10 a.m. Saturday, August 14 at Koehler Funeral Home-Boonville Chapel with visitation Friday from 2 to 8 p.m. and Saturday 9 a.m. till service, burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery in Boonville.
Memorials in memory of Scott may be made to Theo. Condolences and any special remembrance may be made online at www.koehlerfuneralhome.com.

Scott my favorite Jedi Knight... I will miss you my friend.. You were always there with an encouraging word and a smile that lit up a room. I will never forget the time you first met my son Kody, how you lit up when you held him and you didnt want to hand him back when we had to leave. Or the hard time I had during my divorce, you called me at least once a day to check on me.You will be missed so much but i know your watching over us with your jedi cloak on and your lightsaber by your side.
Last but not least how no matter what time of day it was or where i was I would turn around and see that beat up red mustang pull up next to me. How we laughed and joked about who was stalking who... Im going to miss that buddy... Till we meet again May The Force Be With You and with your family...

Scott I know you loved me as I loved you. You were always there for me in good times and more importantly in bad. I will miss you until I see you again in Heaven. I keep you forever in my heart. To Scott's family. thank you for giving us such a gift as Scott. Theo, I don't know how to say I'm so sorry for your loss. I will remember Scott for so many reasons. One,of which, I will always hold in the highest regard- he was himself every time you were with him. Scott marched to the beat of his own drum and was openly embraced by all. Seeing Scott always assured me a chuckle, conversation of cool music or movie, and a love that he had for life. He was a man with a huge heart and was taken far too soon in life. I believe that anyone who has ever befriended Scott is a better person. My condolences to Theo and the rest of the Lampton family

I am so sorry for the loss of this precious young man, He was such a kind soul. He adopted Precious from me, and I know how he adored her and how she adored him. GOD has accepted another beautiful Rose to HIS Garden of Love, and may he shine brightly. He will no longer suffer as he has, and although all who loved him so will miss him, He is now healthy and safe in the arms of our Precious Savior forever. Although I haven't seen Scott in a year or two he was always happy and smiling and willing to help out anyone. He will truly be missed and my condolences to his family and to Theo. Unfortunately I won't be able to make the funeral but know that u all are in my thoughts.

Scott,I can't help but to continue to repeat in my mind, the marching to the beat of a different drummer. I remember when we were told of this most famous saying by Henry David Thoreau. As we tried to identify who we were and what place we were supposed to have in this world, those words were so comforting to know that we were not the anomolies we thought we were. As time passed and we crossed paths as were supposed to, when we were supposed to, the times we shared, the growing pains and the good times have never and will never leave my mind. You were such an instrumental part in my learning to be able to identify who I was as I am confident I was in yours. People didn't always understand us but we always understood one another. I have some of the most vivid memories of my life with you involved. Some of the best times, being surrounded by people who accepted you for who you were not who you were supposed to be. You were amazing and anyone who didn't know it didn't know you. My condolences to you mother, father,sister, niece and nephew and all others who loved you. Good bye my cousin, my friend, I do hope your suffering has ended and you have found peace. Love Leslie!

To my dearest family, some things Id like to say. But first of all, to let you know, that I arrived okay. I’m writing this from heaven. Here I dwell with God above. Here, there’s no more tears of sadness; Here is just eternal love. Please do not be unhappy just because I’m out of sight. Remember that I am with you every morning, noon and night. That day I had to leave you when my life on earth was through. God picked me up and hugged me and He said, “I welcome you”. Its good to have you back again, you were missed while you were gone. As for your dearest family, They’ll be here later on. I need you here so badly, you are part of my plan. There is so much that we can do, to help our mortal man. God gave me a list of things that he wished for me to do. And foremost on the list, was to watch and care for you. And when you lie in bed at night the days chores put to flight. God and I are closest to you in the middle of the night. When you think of my life on earth, and all those loving years. Because you are only human, they are bound to bring you tears. But do not be afraid to cry; it does relieve the pain. Remember there would be no flowers, unless there was some rain. I wish that I could tell you all that God has planned. If I were to tell you, you wouldn’t understand. But one thing is for certain, though my life on earth is o’er. I’m closer to you now, than I ever was before. There are rocky roads ahead of you and many hills to climb; but together we can do it by taking one day at a time. It was always my philosophy and Id like it for you too; that as you give unto the world, the world will give to you. If you can help somebody who is in sorrow and pain; Then you can say to God at night....my day was not in vain. And now I am contented... that my life was worthwhile. Knowing as I passed along the way I made somebody smile. So if you meet somebody who is sad and feeling low; just lend a hand to pick them up, as on your way you go. When you’re walking down the street and you’ve got me on your mind; I’m walking in your footsteps only half a step behind. And when it’s time for you to go...from that body to be free. Remember you’re not going...you’re coming here to me.
