F. Samu Obituary
F. Kenneth Samu, age 88, of Shelton, died on Thursday, August 7, 2025.
He was predeceased by his wife, Beth, and his son, Kenneth.
He is survived by three children, Karen Urban (Michael), Kathleen Colligan (Patrick), and Richard Samu (Michael), and seven grandchildren, Aimee, Andrew, Shane, Jennifer, Robert, Kristen, and Michelle.
Friends are invited to a Mass of Christian Burial to be celebrated on Thursday, August 14, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Joseph Church, 50 Fairmont Pl., Shelton. Interment at Lawncroft Cemetery, Fairfield. Friends may greet the family at church from 9:00 a.m. to 9:45 a.m.

Even though we traveled different roads, we ended up in the same town many years later. To his family and many friends, I want to say he was a terrific person who welcomed everyone to be his friend.

To the family of Ken Samu. Ken and I map met many years ago while playing Little League baseball. We then went to Fairfield prep is classmates and athletes. Ken was an excellent athlete playing both basketball and baseball. More importantly, my thoughts on Ken are quite simple. He was a wonderful person, kind while living his life on a high moral basis. I´m happy I got to talk to him a couple of weeks ago.
My heartfelt condolences and prayers go to every member of his family. I´ll miss you, Kenny. Sincerely Ron Liptak.

Ken was a valued member of the Shelton Songsters Chorus. He enjoyed singing with us and had sung solos with the chorus during our concerts. He was always happy to be there. In spite of how he felt he was able to join us in our last concert and was very glad to be there. He will be missed by all.
