Bill A. Samu

Samu, Bill A. – of Birch Run, age 88, passed away Tuesday July 8, 2025, at Hurley Medical Center. A prayer service will be prayed at 11AM on Tuesday July 15, 2025, at the O'Guinn Family Funeral Home in Birch Run. Father Ken Coughlin to officiate, burial to follow in Birch Run Township Cemetery. The family will receive visitors on Tuesday at the funeral home from 10:30 until the time of prayer service. Memorial contributions may be made to Saint Charles and Helena Catholic Church.
Bill was born May 4, 1937, in Flint, Michigan to the late George and Julia Samu. He graduated from Flint St. Mary's High School in 1955 and proudly served his country as a member of the United States Army. He dedicated 38 years to General Motors as a skilled millwright. A devoted member of St. Charles and Helena Catholic Church, Bill found joy in his faith and the community around him. He cherished the simple pleasures of life, whether it was tending to his yard, golfing with friends, or going on hunting trips with his brother. He will be greatly missed by many.
Surviving are: Son, Dan Samu; Grandchildren: Anthony Zietz, David Hayes and Grace Hayes; Great granddaughter, Oakleigh Zietz; Brother, Joe Samu. He is preceded in passing by his children: Dawn Creighton and Scott Samu; Sister, Irene Barnes.
