Mr “T” ... Thompson family... I know this is late but how my heart broke when I heard the news. I cared about this man as he was a good friend and I believe tennis opponent of my father Lou Varricchione . Although his daughter Jennifer Ann Thompson-Huffman was in my school class and whom I considered and still consider one of my best friends whom I love very much I just want to say to everyone I am so sorry. My dad Lou Ed’s old friend is showing signs of determination and although I will be crushed at his passing I know my dad and Ed will be laughing and partying it up just like here in PV. Too the Thompson family thanks for the warm and openness shown to me to one of many stop by visits to see Jennifer and thanks for all the laughter spiritship and love shown to me. Jennifer , Thank you for being there for me going to school and beyond. You’ll always be in my heart I love you tons. Michael. There is an old White Sox baseball saying, "Say it ain't so Joe." I will miss our spirited discussions about the Anglican Church. Ed was a soulmate. I will also miss bumping into Ed at the Malaga Cove Post Office which always resulted in some very enjoyable banter. We shared some business interests including my client Sunkist. We proudly displayed his blue and white election signage on our front lawn. Ed was a no nonsense type mayor. We enjoyed a wedding reception at the Jonathan Beach Club and a party or two in Seal Beach. Many fond memories of a very nice gentleman and equally nice family. Say it ain't so. Craig, Nan, Jennifer and Brett Campbell.

Mr. Thompson was a kind gentleman with a gift of being everyones friend.
It was a pleasure knowing him.
I am sorry for your loss.
Selfishly, I'm sorry I did not stop & say hello last month as he was walking along Via Tejon.
