Gloria DeVoe Obituary

Gloria A. DeVoe, 64, of Stillwater, entered into eternal life on Saturday, March 26, 2016 at the Albany Medical Center. She was born in Schenectady, NY on November 9, 1951, daughter of the late John and Sophie Suhocki. Gloria was married for 36 years, to her wonderful husband, Donald F. DeVoe, Sr. She had worked for AT&T and Verizon in East Greenbush as a hearing impaired relay operator, until retiring. She was a strong fighter who always found the humor in things to help get through life's hard times. In addition to her husband, survivors include her loving children, Donald F. DeVoe, Jr., and Melissa L. DeVoe (Fiance David Spalding); also survived by four siblings and several nieces and nephews, and her faithful felines, Winnie, Dusty, Twiggy AKA "Hammy." A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, April 2, 2016 at 11 a.m. in the Gordon C. Emerick Funeral Home, 1550 Route 9, Clifton Park, NY 12065. A calling hour will be held beginning at 10 a.m. Memorial contributions may be made in Gloria's memory to the American Cancer Society, 360 Osborne Road, Loudonville, NY 12211. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted by the family to the Gordon C. Emerick Funeral Home, 1550 Route 9, Clifton Park, NY 12065. 518-371-5454.
