Paul J. Begin

Paul J. Begin, 65, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Monday, March 27, 2017. He was born in Niskayuna to the late Joseph and Patricia Begin. His father started Begin Welding Service where Paul worked closely with his dad. After his dad retired, Paul took over the business in 1989. Then keeping the business open with his son Joseph. He loved to fish with his friends at Lake Ontario. In the winter he hunted rabbits with his brother-in-law, Rich and his son, Joe. Paul and son, Joe did everything together including deer hunting. He loved taking his grandchildren water skiing, wake boarding, and tubing. Paul is survived his beloved wife of 46 years, Margaret Begin; two daughters, Stacy (Bob) Cox and Christa (Butch) Bosley; son, Joseph Begin; five grandchildren, Paul, Jessica, Alisha, Nathan, and Jayden; sister, Sharon (Rich) Mickan; as well as several nieces, nephews and was hubin to Laurie DeBrino. Calling hours will be held from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday, April 2, 2016 at New Comer Funerals & Cremations, 343 New Karner Rd., Colonie, NY 12205. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
