Roberta Olsen Obituary
Roberta was born in Schenectady the daughter of the late Harold and Margaret Pirro Puccetti. She was a 1961 graduate of Linton High School and worked for the NYS Department of Corrections on the Harriman Campus for 30 years. Roberta was a faithful, kind and generous woman; always putting others before herself.
She as a member of the Red Hat Society, Chapter Rowdy Scarlett's; a communicant of St. Kateri Tekakwitha Parish, Rosa Road, where she volunteered on the Hospitality Committee.
She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Paul Olsen, Sr.; a son, Paul Olsen, Jr.; and a brother, Harold Puccetti.
Roberta is survived by her loving family; sons, David (Barbara) Olsen, Kevin Olsen and William (Jackie) Olsen; grandchildren, Heather Strickland, Christopher (Amanda) Strickland, Bryan (Lindsay) Olsen, Mother Natalia Olsen, Christiana (Michael) Watt, Paul (Samantha Ladd) Olsen, III and Brittney (Luis) Rodriguez; a brother, Dante Puccetti; eleven great-grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Relatives and friends are invited to call at the Rossi & Ditoro Funeral Home on Friday, from 4 to 6 p.m.
Funeral Services will be held at 9 am on Saturday at the Rossi & Ditoro Funeral Home, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Kateri Tekakwitha, Rosa Road, at 10 am. Interment will follow in St. John the Baptist Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made in Roberta's memory to Hospice at communityhospice.org or The Daily Bread food pantry at St. Luke's at www.stlukesschenectady.org.
