Marcy Rodeffer Obituary
August 23, 1940 - July 2, 2024
Marcy Fitch Rodeffer, 83, of Charlottesville, Virginia passed away on July 2, 2024, at Rivers Edge Nursing & Rehab in Waynesboro, Virginia.
Born August 23, 1940, in Waynesboro, VA. She was the daughter of Reginald Chase Fitch and Ruth Snyder Fitch. She was preceded in death by Thomas R. Rodeffer (husband) and her parents.
She was a proud supporter of First Baptist Church in Charlottesville, Virginia. She worked at the Science and Engineering Library at the University of Virginia for 25 years. She loved watching birds, taking care of her pets and knitting. She greatly enjoyed visits with her three grandchildren.
Marcy F. Rodeffer is survived by her son, Brian C. Rodeffer and his wife, Martha M. Rodeffer; grandson, Drew Rodeffer and his wife Olivia Rodeffer; granddaughter, Meagan A. Rodeffer; grandson, Luke T. Rodeffer; great-grandson, Baby Mac Rodeffer; brother, Reginald (Chase) Fitch & his wife Katie.
Special thanks to Rivers Edge Nursing & Rehab in Waynesboro, VA., The Retreat in Fishersville, VA. and Hospice of the Piedmont with all the care & consideration they gave.
Flowers are welcome, however memorial donations to First Baptist Park Street, 735 Park Street, Charlottesville VA 22902, would also be appreciated.
A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, July 9, 2024 at Monticello Memory Gardens, 670 Thomas Jefferson Parkway, Charlottesville, VA 22902. The service will also be live-streamed via Zoom.
