Patricia B. Gladding

Pocomoke City-Patricia "Patty" Baker Gladding. 65, passed away on February 28, 2016, at her Pocomoke City home.

Born February 1, 1951 in Snow Hill, MD, she was a daughter of the late Cecil Baker and Della Williams Baker Richardson.

Following graduation from Snow Hill High School in 1969 she lived in Florida until moving to Pocomoke City in 1989 with her son Ryan Balogh. In 1991 she married Jimmie Gladding. She had served as the manager at Days Inn, Econo Lodge and the Pocomoke City Holiday Inn Express.

Patty was an avid reader and animal lover.

She is survived by her husband, Jimmie Gladding; one son, Ryan Balogh and his girlfriend Rachel Melnick; step son, Billy Rutter (Candace) and step daughter, Jaime (Scott) Aaron; three grandchildren, Grace, Adam and Kutter; a brother, Bill Baker and a sister Betty Sharpley (Skip) and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Lue Baker Dean.



A funeral service, officiated by Revs. Don Blagg and Donnie Bailey, will be held on Sunday, March 6, 2016 at 2 PM at Downing's United Methodist Church in Oak Hall, VA, where family and friends will gather one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Coastal Hospice, P. O. Box 1733, Salisbury, MD 21802.
