Dean Oveson Obituary

Dean Paul Oveson, 66, of Ponder, Texas died Sunday, November 26, 2023. Born in South Bend, Indiana, he was the son of the late Paul and Sharon Oveson.

Dean was best known for running a successful courier business for many years, but his true loves were the Rangers, Mavericks, and Cowboys, all animals (especially Alfie), and his mother. Before his health deteriorated, Dean enjoyed boating, riding his Harley, and playing golf. But his ultimate happy place was Crescent Beach on Siesta Key in Sarasota, Florida where he lived with his family for a time and vacationed there many times.

He is survived by his wife Leslie of Ponder and his siblings Sue, Larry (Debby), John, David (Lois), and Ellen of Greenville, South Carolina.

A private service will be held by his family. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society or McNatt's Animal Shelter.
