Dear Wallis Ann and Family,

I was greatly saddened to hear of the passing of your beloved husband. You and your family have my deepest sympathy and compasionate understanding. It has been said that unless you walk in someone's shoes you can not possibly understand what they are experiencing.

I, too, walked in the same shoes of heartbreak and grief that you now are suffering. My husband of 51 years (we were married 22 days after our June 2, 1960 graduation from BHS) passed away on June 11, 2011. It is still as fresh as the day he left. If there were words to help you through this I would wish to be first to share them with you; however, that not being possible, let me assure you that you and your precious family will be in my prayers daily and if ever you need someone to have a listening ear, give a call; I will have an available ear, day or night. I'm quite the insomniac.

Take care of you, dear friend of long ago, your strength will be needed more than you'll ever imagine as time passes.

God keep all of you in His Blessings. He is always with you.

Sincerely,
Jacquie Shimkus Kelley

Benny - We shared many good times in Demolay together and likewise when you joined me at LSU. I'll always remember our many trips back to Biloxi on weekends. I went by your parents home several times in the past to try and track you down, but could never catch anyone home. Speaking of your parents home. Remember that was where I spent the night before my wedding at Biloxi First Methodist. You Gerry Howell and Susie Thornton and my dad and his wife were the only ones that came to my eloped wedding.I am sorry to finally find you this way! Good bye old buddy. Bill Munson
