Darren was an individual who prided himself on being the best on whatever he touched. My condolences go out to his friends, family, and whomever had the honor have lasting memories with Darren. For me, my first memory I have to share was in summer track in 1984-1985. I graduated with his brother Eric; a great quarterback himself. After I knew who he was (the pressure was on), I felt the need to show him what I can do. Why? Because is athletic dominates had already become known, and I did not want to be embarrassed. He was 13 and I was 15, and from that moment a friendship started. Times separates they who know of or had the pleasure of knowing, but memories last for a life time. That legacy of knowing Darren picked at up at TCU. As I am graduating from TCU, Darren is walking through the door. I lettered in Track, and he lettered in Football. Here is to all the Alumni's form TCU and Trinity High School. Keep your memories of Darren by your side, and pray for his family that better times are ahead. As Darren was always a winner, and he would he touch to be winners. Stand above as he watches below and carry that esteemed legacy close. I will miss you Darren.

Darren was one of the best athletes I have ever seen. He had the ability to make physical tasks like passing, running, and playing look easy. He was a very good man. My condolences to his entire family.

We are thankful our daughter, Jordan, met McKenzie, through volleyball, that they formed a lasting friendship, and that we got to know Darren. He was a great dad, genuinely caring and enjoyable. Our prayers are with your family!
