Gertrude Botik Obituary
Funeral: A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 1:30 p.m. Friday at St. Andrew Catholic Church. Interment: Mount Olivet Cemetery. A rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Thursday at Thompson's Harveson & Cole Funeral Home.
Memorials: Her memory may be honored with a gift to Social Ministries, in care of St. Andrew Catholic Church, 3717 Stadium Drive, Fort Worth, Texas 76109.
Gertrude "Gertie" Frances was born Feb. 28, 1914, in Taylor, daughter of the late John Frank and Frances R. Houzvicka. She worked for Dickson and Jenkins as a seamstress for 10 years before she became the manager of the gift wrap department at Cox's Department Store. The last of her siblings, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Frank, Walter, Jerry and Johnie Houzvicka; and sister, Rose Mary Brciste.
Survivors: Her sons, Charles Botik and Robert Botik.
