Jon Edward Robbins

Lakeside, Texas - Jon Edward Robbins, age 81, of Lakeside, Texas passed away on Friday, May 30, 2025, after a year plus battle with pancreatic cancer, surrounded by his loving family.
Born March 30, 1944, in Fort Worth, Texas to Louise A. (Boswell) and Joe F. Robbins.
Jon Ed graduated from Northwest High School in 1962, then went on to North Texas State University, Texas Tech University, and graduated from Southwest Texas State in San Marcos, earning a degree in Law Enforcement.
He married his high school sweetheart, Frankie Jo Lee on January 12, 1964, at First Baptist Church in Denton Texas. They were married for 61 years and raised two wonderful sons. Their devotion and love were something to be admired.
Jon Ed was a Texas State Trooper for over eight years in Post and San Marcos before beginning a career in local government. First working for the Chamber of Commerce in San Marcos managing the Civic Center, then as the City Administrator in Saginaw, and ultimately was the Precinct Administrator for Tarrant County Precinct 4. After 25 years of service there he retired in 2013. Retirement was his favorite job – he always said, "I was cut out for this retirement job!"
He loved spending time at their homes in Lakeside, Texas and Taos, New Mexico with family and friends. The annual Father/Son camping in Cisco, Texas and many trips to Cabo, Mexico were highlights for him. While at home in Taos and Lakeside, his passion was to make the outdoor areas a haven for people and animals alike. His legacy will forever be enjoyed by many.
Jon Ed was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Joe; and beloved grandson, Jaxon.
Remaining to cherish Jon Ed's memory are his wife, Frankie; son, Jon Mark(Diane), son, Jason; grandsons, Jacob and Justin; granddaughter, Jayci; several nieces and nephews, as well as many friends.
A celebration of his life will be held at the family's home in Lakeside, Texas on Saturday, June 21st from 3 pm – 7ish pm.
