Andrew Wallick Obituary
Andrew L. "Andy" Wallick, age 78, of Sunbury and formerly of Westerville, passed away at home with his family by his side on Thursday, January 11, 2018. He was born December 17, 1939 in Columbus, Ohio to the late Adrian L. and Varian (Mills) Wallick. Andy graduated from Mifflin High School in 1957. In 1959, he began working with his father at the Adrian L. Wallick Company where they specialized in refractory sales and services. He maintained his role as president of the company until his retirement in 2006. Andy married Donna Boston of Sunbury, Ohio on January 9, 1960. They were married for 46 years before her passing in 2006. Andy was a loving and dedicated son, husband, father, grandfather brother and uncle. Family and the great outdoors were his greatest passions. He loved hunting, fishing, golf and grooming his property. However his greatest enjoyment came from spending time with his children, grandsons and friends. He held membership at the Big Walnut Conservation Club and regularly attended the Harlem Road United Methodist Church. Andy's legacy will be that of a great man, a man who always did the right thing; he was honest, fair and unconditional in his love for his family. He is survived by his children, Randy (Kim) Wallick and Ronda (Alex) Ochoa; grandsons, Joe and Ben Wallick and Lucas, Nic, and Tyler Ochoa; his brother, Scott (Marie) Wallick; as well as many loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends. In addition to his parents and wife, he was preceded in death by his brothers Jay D. and Adrian Jr. A Celebration of Life will take place on Saturday, January 20, 2018 from 2-4 PM at the DeVore-Snyder Funeral Home, 637 North State Route 61, Sunbury, Ohio 43074. In lieu of flowers, please make contributions in Andy's name to the Big Walnut Conservation Club, Inc., P.O.
