Beverly Carmichael Obituary

CARMICHAEL Beverly A. Carmichael was born and reared in Mount Vernon, Oh., the only daughter of Carl H. and Helen M. (Sites) Blake. She was blessed with six brothers. She passed away on April 21, 2009. Beverly graduated from Mt. Vernon High School, class of 1948. She attended The Ohio State University. She was a career civil servant, who worked for Franklin County and the State of Ohio. She retired from service in 1989. Beverly was an active member of First Baptist Church. She was a member of the Myrtle Whited Circle and other groups. She previously was a member of Second Baptist Church and remained involved with the Prayer Cottage. Beverly was a loyal fan of The Ohio State University Buckeyes and the Cleveland Indians. She enjoyed traveling and was a member of several "seasoned citizens traveling groups". Another of her great joys was gardening in her flowers beds. Beverly devoted her time to God, family, and friends. She never "met a stranger" and was blessed with the gift of hospitality among others. Beverly celebrated forty-five (45) years of marriage to Joseph T. Carmichael Jr. on the first day of Spring 2009. She is predeceased by her parents and four brothers Carl F. Blake, Harry E. Blake, Harold V. Blake, and Ronald H. Blake. She is survived by her devoted husband, Joseph T. Carmichael Jr. of Reynoldsburg; brothers, Robert E. Blake of Columbus and Norman G. Blake of Reynoldsburg. She also leaves a sister-in-law, Zada M. Blake of Chicago, Ill.; and a nephew, Carl (Marcelline) Blake of Chicago, Ill. Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, April 27, 2009 at SCHOEDINGER EAST CHAPEL, 5360 E. Mr. Carmichael,

I am so sorry to her about Mrs. Carmichael. You two were like boyfriend and girlfriend all the time. I first met her during one of the Seasoned Citizen Trips with New Salem. She was a very nice person to travel with. May God continue to keep you and confort you during this time.
