Robert Bradley Palmer

Robert B. Palmer, 90, residing in Huron, passed away Monday morning, March 2, 2026 at Firelands Regional Medical Center after a brief illness.

Robert was born on January 16, 1936 in Bellevue, OH to the late Floyd and Mollie (Hiskey) Palmer.

Robert attended both The Ohio State University and Colorado State University, where he played football. He retired in 1996 from General Motors after years of dedicated service. Prior to that, he was employed at Glidden Paints, where he served as a supervisor. Robert was a faithful member of Zion Lutheran Church in Huron and the Huron Eagles Club. He enjoyed watching sports, especially the Ohio State Buckeye football games, shopping, dining out, boating, fishing, and vacationing in Las Vegas. Above all, he cherished the time he spent with his family and friends.

Robert is survived by his daughters, Debbie (Steve) Kelly and Karen (Thomas) Baltzell; son, Scott Palmer; grandchildren, Courtney Kelly and Brandon Kelly and other relatives.

In addition to his parents, Robert is preceded in death by his wife, Beverly (Hart) Palmer; brother, Edward Palmer and sister, Maryann Palmer.

Private family services will be held and conducted at a later date. The family has entrusted Groff Funeral Homes & Crematory with arrangements.
