Brenda Warner Obituary

WARNER Brenda Lu McClanahan Warner, age 66, of Grove City, departed this life on Sunday, November 15, 2009, and walked into the loving arms of her mother, father, and those of her heavenly father. Born on March 1, 1944, in Maysville, Kentucky, Brenda grew up on her family's farm in West Union, Ohio. She attended Liberty Township School and graduated from West Union High School, before moving to Grove City, Ohio to begin her new life. Brenda prided herself in her work ethic, first working at Robertshaw Controls. She later worked for Fraternity Sportswear Specialty Co., and retired in February, 2009 from The Buckeye Ranch, where she worked for nearly 29 years. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Grove City. Forever the daughter of a farmer, Brenda loved to tend to her flower gardens and lawn. Of her accomplishments, she was most proud being "Mamaw", for which she was known by her three precious grandsons, Matthew, Mason, and Garrett. Brenda is survived by her husband, Jim; sons, Jeffrey Brian (Melanie) and James Douglas (Nicole); and grandsons, Matthew, Mason, and Garrett. She is also survived by her brother, James "Jimmy"; special sisters-in-law, Joyce and Connie; as well as numerous nephews, nieces, and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents Beulah and Albert, and brother Robert "Bobby". Visitation will be held from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. on Thursday, November 19, 2009 at SCHOEDINGER-NORRIS FUNERAL HOME, 3920 Broadway, Grove City. The funeral service will be held on Friday, November 20, 2009 at 2 p.m. with family receiving friends beginning one hour prior to the service at the First Presbyterian Church of West Union, 104 S. Second Street, West Union, OH. Interment will follow at Kirker Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made in the name of the Brenda Warner Scholarship Fund, in care of Heartland Bank. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you during this very difficult time. I worked with Brenda several years ago at the The Buckeye Ranch and although we worked hard we had fun too.
She was very nice and very helpful.

I have not known your family long, but I did learn that Brenda was a natural at mothering. She kept eye out for Khaden while I mowed the grass and was always tending to Jim. I only wish I could have known her longer. Doug and Jeff, know she loved you and has told stories of you....good ones. God Bless

Warner family, I'm so sorry for your loss. Brenda was a "growing up " memory for me and a dear friend to my mother. She was the first one there when we lost our parents. She will be missed.
