Chana K. Marker

MARKER Chana K. Marker, 50, of Russells Point, OH, peacefully died Saturday evening, October 15, 2011, in her home after a courageous 15 month battle with kidney cancer. She was born September 5, 1961 in Columbus, OH to the late Channing B. Courtright and Carole Jean Lewis Courtright, who survives in Bellefontaine, OH. She married Donald Eugene Marker on February 2, 1981 in Columbus, OH, and he survives. She was preceded in death by her grandparents Paul & Jenny Lewis and Golf & Maude Courtright. She is also survived by a daughter, Amanda K. (David P. Hemmert) Marker, of Russells Point; a son, Donald Jason Marker, of Bellefontaine, OH; granddaughter, Melanie K. Watkins; and a brother, Kevin Courtright of Lima, OH. Chana was a graduate of Columbus North High School, and became a Paralegal at Lima Technical College. She worked for over 20 years in the Logan County Court System. Her last position was as assignment commissioner for Logan County Family Court. She was a member of Indian Lake Community Church. She enjoyed attending NASCAR races and vacationing in Florida with her husband, and being with her family and friends. Chana was always a joy and blessing to all who knew her. Pastors Karen Blackburn and Jim Ellington will conduct memorial services at 4 p.m., Thursday, October 20, 2011 at the Indian Lake Community Church in Russells Point, OH, with visitation from 2-4 p.m.at the church. Memorial Contributions may be given in her name to the Indian Lake Community Church. Arrangements are in the care of SHOFFSTALL FUNERAL HOME, Lakeview.
