Cherie Pierce Obituary
Cherie K. Pierce, age 67 of Columbus, died Sept 14, 2017 at St Ann's Hospital. Cherie was born on April 14, 1950 in Dayton to the late Clyde A and Leota Marie (Greenwood) Story. Cherie is preceded in death by her sisters Lynn (David) Barrett and Leisa Story. She is survived by her husband Mark Zickefoose, daughter Danyelle (Kenny) Brown, son James Pierce. Grandchildren Kendylle Brown; Caleb, Collin Pierce. Step children Nick Zickefoose, Tyler (Jessika) Zickefoose, Lucas Zickefoose. Step grandchildren Adam, Mikala, Anaya, Mia; Mikey Zickefoose. Sister Gayla M. Davis of Johnstown, and brother Scott (Charlene) Story of Columbus. Her K9 companion Rex. Cherie was an avid photographer of flowers, nature, and sports. She was a huge fan of Big Walnut area sports, especially of her grandson's baseball and football teams, as well as her granddaughter's swimming and racing. Cherie also enjoyed nature walks and flea markets. Friends may call on Tuesday Sept 19, 2017 from 2:00pm to 4:00pm and from 6:00pm to 8:00pm at the RUTHERFORD-CORBIN FUNERAL HOME, 515 High St Worthington, where a funeral service will be held on Wednesday at 10:00am with interment to follow at the Kingwood Memorial Park, Pastor Dan McLaughlin officiating. Please accept my sympathies for the entire family and extended family at this time. Danyelle, I know you are heartbroken. The relationship between you and your mom was one of love, respect and support and that will live on through you.

My heart aches and there are no words to comfort the loved ones left behind. She was an amazing,caring person who I know will be greatly missed. She is an angel in heaven and is watching from above her loving family. I feel blessed to have gotten to know her and see how she loved and was so proud of her family. My tears continue to fall knowing my sweet friend Danyelle has lost her mom, best friend and biggest supporter. She gave you love and strength to go through your journey of grief. Take one minute at a time . Take care of yourselves and each other. May god give you grace and comfort.
