Billy Pierce

Billy Lee Pierce, age 55, passed away at his home in Covington on Saturday, February 21, 2026.

Billy worked in maintenance at Industrial Air Corporation: IAC in Memphis, Tennessee. When he wasn't working, he enjoyed being outside, gardening and fishing. He also loved to shoot pool.

Billy's life changed in more ways than just his employment status when he was diagnosed with cancer and had to step away from the job. His family, once separated by states and years, came together again. Although he remained strong-willed, his life was pointed to Jesus and he let go of the selfishness that he had held onto for so long. In his sickness, Billy was healed.

Billy is survived by his children, Amber Pierce, Katie Pierce, and Will Pierce; his grandchildren, Braden Pierce, Chandler Pierce, Kayliee Shelley, Blakely Pierce, Kevin Johnson, Hunter Johnson, Selena Johnson and Noah Johnson; his parents, Roger Arnold and May Geraldine Myers Pierce; his brother, Robert "Bobby" Pierce; his sister, Cindy (Derek) Ralph, and two nephews, Roger Faught and Mikey Faught. He was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Adalynn Noel Pierce.

The family would like to say a special thank-you to the Gentiva Hospice team that cared for Billy. Their compassionate care and support was and is very much appreciated by the family.

Cremation services are under the direction of Covington Funeral Home, with no memorial services planned at this time.
