Daniel Haven Lesher ascended to his heavenly home Thursday, August 3, 2017 in the presence of his family. He was preceded in death by his parents, Evelyn and Clyde Lesher; wife, Eunice (Herber) Lesher; and daughter, Kathy Strapp. He is survived by his wife, Naomi; sons, Mike (Sue), Bob, Doug (Carolyn); daughter, Becky (Kenny); stepsons, Don (Cindy) Seeley, Jim Seeley, Dwight (Lynn) Seeley; and stepdaughter, Elaine McCormick. Dan enjoyed being a grandparent to 21 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren. Dan was an enthusiastic teacher and coach at West Alexandria High School, Pleasant View High School and Westland High School. He finished his career at Grove City High School. He loved spending a week in Canada with his sons and friends. He was a longtime active member of First Baptist Church of Grove City, where he was choir director and song leader. He taught Sunday school classes, lead prayer groups, and visited shut-ins. He also served meals at Stowe Baptist Center. His kindness and love of the Lord will be remembered by all who knew and loved him. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 8, 2017 from 2-4pm and 6-8pm at First Baptist Church of Grove City, 3301 Orders Rd, Grove City, OH 43123, where a funeral service will be held on Wednesday, August 9, 2017 at 10am. Interment at Concord Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Dan's memory to The Alzheimer's Association, P.O. Box 96011, Washington, D.C. 2009.
