Dear Blank Family,
I am in shock this morning hearing of Denise's passing. Denise was an amazing artist and friend. I worked at Byzantium, where we met, and she was always full of joy and fantastic ideas. She loved color, her family and her community. At the counter of the store she would teach me words in Yiddish and she would counsel me on how to find a good mensch. She taught me the fine difference between complaining and kvetching. She loved her husband, children and grandchildren so very, very much. She was a spirit of love and happiness and I will truly miss her and the joy she brought into the world. My life was made better by knowing her. My condolences to Barry, Randi, Becky and the entire family. You are in my prayers.
Sincerely,
Roxanne

I'm so sorry to the family of Mrs. Blank. This woman was absolutely amazing! Mrs. Blank was the first teacher that showed me genuine love, kindness, and compassion. Mrs. Blank was an amazing source of strength to my family and myself. She was ALWAYS there for me when I needed her...a light that was so needed in this world. Even as an adult, she was still there for me through so much and I'm sure a lot of of former Devonshire students can say the same thing. I can't put into words the devastation I feel in my heart right now, truly broken by this. If anyone knows me they know how much I loved Mrs. Blank and how crushing this loss is. Mrs. Blank was more than an educator she was an angel on earth!! I love you Mrs. Blank!!

Denise was my best friend growing up in Caldwell, New Jersey. We shared the angst of junior high and high school and went our separate ways in college, but we kept in touch and I was honored to be her maid of honor when she married Barry. She moved to Ohio and I to Connecticut and now California. Although family, work and friends occupied our time, we managed to visit each other occasionally and found we still had so much in common: our devotion to family and love of teaching, reading and playing games. She will be sorely missed!
My sincerest condolences go out to Barry, Randi and Becky as well as her dearly loved grandchildren.

Mrs. Blank brought life to the classroom I was in at Devonshire. She had a lasting positive effect on all who were so lucky to have learned from and shared love with her. She was truly an artist.

Beepah, as our class called her, was a welcome sight when she visited her grandchildren in their preschool classrooms. She gave the room an energy that spread through the children as well as the teachers. Denise was a hysterically funny lady and as a former teacher, she supported the teachers in the preschool. I will miss her.
May her memory be a blessing to all who knew her.

Denise was a true angel on earth, as she is now in heaven. She selflessly gave of herself to help others. We will truly miss Denise, but we hold her beautiful smile, wonderful travel and Florida memories, and sense of humor near and dear to our hearts. We were blessed to have Denise in our lives. Heartfelt sympathy goes out to Barry and their beautiful family.

Our family was truly blessed to have met and had the privilege of being taught by Denise at Devonshire. She worked tirelessly to improve her students love of learning, and enthusiasm for new experiences. Our family's all grown now with children of their own, and yet are still touched by her guidance. My only hope is there children get to experience a teacher of Denise's caliber.
We wish peace and warmth in the knowledge of the impact she had on so many.
With care and sympathy,
