1949 - 2017
Earline Kirk, 67, of Columbus, passed away after a courageous battle with cancer, on October 25, 2017. Earline graduated from Holzer Nursing College. She was a Registered Nurse who worked in the burn unit at Nationwide Children's and a NICU nurse at Mount Carmel East. Earline was an avid racing fan and enjoyed spending time with her family at the Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course. She was Chief of Information for the SCCA at Mid-Ohio, and was a flagger for Lake Erie Communications. She was preceded in death by her parents Carl and Betty Spangler. Survived by son, Scott (Jenna) Kirk; sister, Barb Markins; brothers, Wayne, Dale, and Jim Spangler. Her family will receive friends on Sunday, October 29, from 5-6 pm at Cotner Funeral Home, 7369 East Main Street, Reynoldsburg, where her memorial service will follow at 6pm. The family requests that people wear checkered clothing in honor of her final lap. Messages may be sent to her family by visiting www.cotnerfuneralhome.com.
