Ellen M. Robinette, age 72, of Canal Winchester, died Sunday, September 3, 2017 at her home. She was born August 3, 1945 in Matewan, WV to the late Elza and Velva Johnson. Ellen was a homemaker caring for her family and raising her children until the age of 48 when she became a Licensed Practical Nurse. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother who prayed all her family would serve God. Ellen enjoyed rock hunting and collecting antiques when she was able. She is preceded in death by her brothers Dorsey Johnson, Elmer Johnson, Elza Lee Johnson, Mount Vernon "Chip" Johnson, sister Helen Johnson and granddaughter Anastasia Sturgis. Ellen is survived by her loving husband of 52 years, Walt Robinette; children, Paul Robinette, Mark (Andrea Trapani) Robinette, Ann (Jason) Sturgis; daughter-in-law Andrea Maxwell Robinette, 14 grandchildren; siblings, William Johnson, Eula Faye Johnson, Dorothy (Kenneth) Comer; many nieces and nephews. Family and friends may visit 4-7 p.m. on Monday, September 11, at the DWAYNE R. SPENCE FUNERAL HOME, 650 W. Waterloo St., Canal Winchester, OH 43110, where a funeral service, officiated by Pastor Mark A. Robinette, will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, September 12.
