Mr. Eck was one the first people we met when our family went to ND for our son's recruiting trip (to play Baseball for the Irish) he really show us what the true spirit of ND was all about. He was always so good to all of us. As a Thank you to him. I had embroidered him two special ND Baseball polos shirts. I had sent the shirts to him in this past fall, my only regret is I will never get to see him wear them. But I have a wonderful thank you card from him, which I will cherish. So Thank You! Frank Eck, for making our family feel so special! The Weilands

I met Mr Eck 20 years ago when he hired me as his part-time receptionist, although he referred to me as his "V.P. of communications!" That in itself tells you something about the man that Frank was, he had the gift to make everyone feel important. He taught me the value of a good education, friendship, service to others. He treated my family with kindness and love, with yearly jet rides to the Norte Dame games, trips to Chicago for N.D. Alumni Banquets, concerts and parties in Columbus. It was always a privilege to have him as a guest in my home where he would tell stories from his college days and business days as well. He was without a doubt the brightest man I ever knew. I will miss his insight into my life, his laughter, and his love.
With my deepest sympathy to his children. Annie

Frank Eck was a true Notre Dame man
who represented Our Lady in truest form. After a game in Hawaii, we flew to Chicago, only to have the airport shut down due to snow. Mr.Eck offered to fly me home on his Lear jet and did just that. He was most charming on the plane and made me feel special. I will always remember that. Nick Cardi

Dear Candy, Kelly, Frank, & Daniel:

We were deeply saddened yesterday, when we learned of your father's death. What a wonderful man he was.

We've had a delightful friendship for over twenty years. Our trips to Notre Dame, and his trips to Savannah for St. Patrick's Day will always be remembered with happy thoughts.

Our prayer today is that he will be blessed with an eternal reward for all the good he did for NOTRE DAME and for his fellow-man. On a less serious note, I can see him now talking with Our Lady about next year's season.
Our thoughts and prayers are with you, his family.

God Bless You All.

My deepest sympathy to the entire Eck Family. As an employee of the Upper Ohio Valley Lou Holtz Hall of Fame in East Liverpool, Ohio, I would like to express my appreciation for all that your Father and Grandfather did over the past ten years to support us in many ways. Most especially the "Chair lift" that affords many disabled visitors to be able to view the balcony and its displays, in the beautiful cabinets ,also given to us by Mr Eck,in the Frank Eck Gallery. He was always ready to lend a helping hand, with words of wisdom and support and we are forever grateful. His passing will leave a void in many peoples lives, including us, at the Hall of Fame.
