Joanna Spears Obituary

SPEARS Joanna Lynn Spears, 57, of Columbus, Oh., formerly of Huntington, W.Va., passed away Monday, January 23, 2006 in Riverside Methodist Hospital, Columbus. Funeral service will be conducted 2 p.m. Thursday, January 26, 2006 at CHAPMAN'S MORTUARY, Huntington. Burial will be in Highland Cemetery, Huntington. She was born June 6, 1948 in Huntington, a daughter of Margie Beatrice Cash Fugate of Huntington and the late Elvin Henry Fugate. She was a former general manager for Whitlock Towing and Always Paydays. She was a Church of Christ by faith and practice. In addition to her mother, survivors include her husband, Ronald Eugene Spears; 4 sons, Matthew David Herring, Marshall Edward Herring, Michael Joseph Herring and Charles James Spears III, all of Columbus; step-children, Chad Edward Jeffers, Nikki Damron Williams and Ronald Eugene Spears Jr., all of Columbus; 3 sisters, Barbara Parsons of Bell Buckle, Tenn., Pamela Wheeler of Milton, W.Va. and Diana "Dodie" Miller of Smyrna, Tenn.; a brother, Wayne Fugate of Little Melinda, Calif.; 18 grandchildren. Friends may call from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, January 25, 2006 at Chapman's Mortuary.
