1941 - 2019
John Henry Beach – Born January 1, 1941, passed away October 23, 2019 at the age of 78. He was preceded in death by wife Mary Ann, parents Charles Bruce Beach and Winifred (Brush) Beach, infant brother Charles and sister Marilyn (Beach) Jados. John was a 1959 graduate of Jonathan Alder where he was president of his senior class, lettered in 3 sports and a member of Varsity A. A former owner of Beach Chandler Lumber Company John spent his entire life in Plain City where he served on the Plain City Fire Department and was Chief for many years. John enjoyed being a little league umpire for almost 40 years. He was an avid fisherman, hunter and gardener. He also owned and raced harness horses. John is survived by his two children, Linda Sue Beachy (Randy), and Tom Beach; stepsons, Don and Bud (Kim) Schrock; brother, Bob (Beth) Beach; and sisters, Annabelle (Mike) Tuller and Barbara (Mike) George; 9 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.

I just found out about John Henry's passing. RIP John. I still remember the good times him and my dad Jack Bower use to have. Two good friends having a great time. I still have the 3 baseballs John gave me for pitching no hitters in games he umpired. Thanks John from us ex little leaguers that had the pleasure of you umpiring our games! John, it was an honor and a pleasure to know you!

I'm so sorry I am just hearing of John Henry's passing and am broken hearted. I have so many wonderful memories of John Henry and my Dad, Jimmie Dale umpiring together and their friendship. I also have amazing memories of John and Maryann! They were both the best! Please tell Daddy I said hi as you challenge him to a game of pool in heaven!! ❤❤

I just became aware of John Henry's passing. My deepest sympathies to his family.
He was a mentor to me as a young man, especially teaching me how to be an umpire in a professional manner. I have never forgotten those examples and they are part of me today. I have passed those along to other young men over the years.
