Lawrence Dodley

Dodley Lawrence Dodley was born January 10, 1924 in Columbus Ohio. He was 93 years of age. He departed this life on Tuesday February 28, 2017 at Grant Medical Center, Columbus, Ohio. Lawrence attended Champion Junior High School and East High School. After High School he was drafted into the United State Army World War II at the age of eighteen. Lawrence worked at the Columbus Window Cleaning Company for several years. Next he started his own business the Dodley Window Cleaning Services where he continued working for over thirty years. Lawrence was preceded in death by his father and mother Blossie and Susie Dodley, brothers William Dodley, Gilbert Dodley, Lewis Dodley, Rufus Dodley, and sister Alta Jean Dodley Slade. He is survived by loving wife of sixty-five years, Elise M. Dodley; sister, Ruth Dodley Smith; son, Lawrence E. (Lydia) Dodley of Antelope Valley California; daughter, Glendora Dodley; granddaughters, Karla Dodley, Kabria Dodley; grandsons, Kyle Dodley, Timothy Dodley; nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Family will welcome friends 2-4 p.m. Thursday, March 9, 2017 at SCHOEDINGER NORTHEAST, 1051 E. Johnstown Rd., Gahanna, OH 43230. Funeral Service 11 a.m. Friday at Union Grove Baptist Church, 266 N.
