Lawrence Simpkins Obituary
1939 - 2018
Lawrence "Larry" Lewis Simpkins, age 79, of Columbus, Ohio, passed away November 27, 2018 at Mount Carmel West Hospital. Lawrence was born in Matewan, West Virginia on February 8, 1939 to the late William and Lydia (Hensley) Simpkins. Sixty years ago on October 11, 1958, he married the love of his life, Jonell (Joby) Simpkins (Davis) who survives. Besides Jonell, he is survived by two sons, Todd (Kim) Simpkins of Ashville, Ohio and Dana (Charity) Simpkins of Columbus, Ohio. He is survived by three grandchildren, Logan, Hunter and Ainsley Simpkins. He is also survived by many beloved in-laws, nieces and nephews. Lawrence attended Harvest Assembly of God. In his later years, his greatest joy was spending time with his grandchildren, Logan, Hunter and Ainsley. We are returning Lawrence to God's hands for safe keeping on Monday, December 3, 2018 at 12:30 pm. Friends and family may gather for visiting hours from 11 am-12:30 pm at Harvest Assembly of God, 8075 Dellinger Road, Galloway, OH. Interment immediately following the funeral service at Green Lawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Harvest Assembly of God.
