Reading Mary's obituary in the Dispatch brought back so many memories of Mary the high school student at Northland. Almost always, I could count on Mary to have a smile, be so willing to do the tasks she was ask to complete, show kindness and be willing to help others. She was a joy to have in class and I remember her as one of the nicest students I had the opportunity to teach. When we would go into the community for our work experiences or to the YMCA for leisure activities, she was a willing worker and learner and enjoyed every activity. After Mary graduated, I would occasionally encounter Mary and her mom at the grocery, the library or another community place but it has been many years since the last time. I am saddened to learn that she is no longer here to bring joy to others but I believe that God has a special place for her in heaven. My sincere condolences to Mary's family, friends and co-workers.
