Nancy Drake Tehan, age 89, passed away peacefully in her sleep March 13, 2018. Nancy was born in Columbus on November 28, 1928 the third child of Dr. William F. and Ruth Gallin Drake. She was a 1946 graduate of St. Mary of the Springs Academy, a 1950 graduate of St. Mary of the Springs College and received her teaching credentials from Marquette University. She was a long-time resident of both Springfield, Ohio and Columbus. She is preceded in death by her husband John North Tehan, her parents, her sisters Mary Ellen Drake Wilson and Marguerite Drake Kelley, and brother Dr. G. Thomas Drake. She is survived by brother, William F. (Noreen) Drake of Columbus. Her indomitable spirit and boundless energy will be missed by family and friends alike especially her four children, nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild, Anne Tehan (James) Riedel of Greenville, SC and children, Sarah Riedel of Glen Burnie, MD and Christopher (Gupreet) Riedel of West Allis, WI., John N. (Susan) Tehan of Waukesha, WI and children, Lauren (Daniel) Grams and daughter, Emily of Milwaukee, WI, Sean Tehan of Rochester, MN and Nick (Carly) Tehan of Waukesha, WI., George (Natalia) Tehan of Worthington, OH and daughter, Olesya, Mary Tehan Riddle of Columbus, OH and children, Tiffany (Sean) Melia of Boston, MA, Patrick and Katherine. Family will receive friends between 4-7 p.m. on Sunday, March 18, at RUTHERFORD-CORBIN FUNERAL HOME at 515 High Street in Worthington. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, March 19, 2018 at St. Peter Catholic Church, 6899 Smoky Row Road, Columbus, OH 43235.
