Patsy Lou Whitmer

WHITMER Patsy Lou Whitmer, 83, of West Jefferson, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 4, 2011 at Springfield Regional Medical Center. Patsy was born on June 29, 1927, in Lima, Ohio, the daughter of the late Homer and Mary (Bowsher) Rafferty. Patsy was a dedicated and devoted wife and mother and enjoyed nothing more than spending time with her family. She was a graduate of White Cross Nursing School and a graduate of Springfield South High School. Patsy retired with over 15 years of service from Springfield Community Hospital where she was a Registered Nurse in Labor Delivery. Patsy was also the CFO (Chief Family Operator) of National Golf Links in South Vienna. She is survived by her beloved husband of 62 years, Robert Whitmer; daughter and son-in-law, Merry and Stephen Krempasky; son and daughter-in-law, Robert R. and Mareia Whitmer; sister, Jacqueline Kelsey; grandchildren, Drew (Michelle) Krempasky and Cody (Mia) Whitmer; step-grandchildren, Tina Krempasky, Stephanie Popp, Savanna Castle and Sara McKinley; and great-grandchildren, Taylor and Maximus Krempasky and Devin Whitmer. She is preceded in death by her grandson Christopher Whitmer. Visitation will be held on Friday, January 7, 2011 from 4-7 p.m. and Saturday, January 8, 2011 from 10-11 a.m. at JACKSON LYTLE & LEWIS FUNERAL HOME, 2425 N. Limestone St., Springfield, where a celebration of Patsy's life will be held on Saturday, January 8, 2011 at 11 a.m. Burial to follow at Ferncliff Cemetery.
