Reno Joseph Bernardo

BERNARDO Reno Joseph Bernardo, age 76, passed away on Monday, June 23rd, 2008, at his home. He proudly served in the US Marine Corps during the Korean War. A member of the GAC, AIG and the SFI. He retired from the construction industry and hotel development after 40+ years of dedicated service. Reno was very devoted to his family and never met a stranger. His generosity was felt by all who knew him. He is eternally loved and will be dearly missed. He is preceded in death by his parents Feliciano and Maria, brothers Tony, Enio, Dan (Mary), Leno (Rosemary) and John (Rose Marie), sisters Flora (Robert) McMillen and Claudie (Gene) Posani and brother-in-law Edward Buklad. Survived by his loving and supportive family: wife of 51 years, Mary Frances; children, Joseph, Thomas (Marianela) and Julie (Allen) Godfrey; grandchildren, Helena and Reno Godfrey, Sabrina, Samantha, Lance and Thomas George Bernardo; sisters, Elea Buklad and Gina (Louis) Parker; sisters-in-law, Ida and Mary Bernardo; and many loving nieces, nephews and dear friends. The Bernardo family would like to extend a special thanks and appreciation to all the doctors, nurses and aides for the wonderful care given to Reno over his last 6 months. Friends may call THURSDAY, June 26th, 2008, at the JOHN QUINT TREBONI FUNERAL HOME, 1177 W. 5th Avenue, from 4-8 p.m. with GAC service at 5:30 p.m. and Catholic Prayer Service at 7:45 p.m. Funeral Mass will be held 10:30 a.m. on FRIDAY, June 27th, 2008, at St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church, 313 North State Street, Westerville, Ohio.
