Doyle Richard J. Doyle, 82, formerly of Powell, OH, passed away on September 20, 2014, in Bluffton, SC of pneumonia. Born May 8, 1932, in Sioux City, IA, son of Frank and Marie Doyle he is survived by his wife, Pamela (Ertley); children, Dan (Eileen) Doyle, Michelle (John) Komar, Marie (Scott) Lowe, Cindy (Tom) Wadelton and Ricky (Cortnee) Doyle; his grandchildren, Katelyn (Ben) Fox, Kristin and Jonathan Komar, Tara, Christina and Tommy Wadelton, Nathan and Matthew Lowe; his step children, Amy (Tim) Henson, Angie (Eric) Pinho, Jessica (Jack) Chaney and Darcy Galbreath; and step grandchildren, Ali (Lash) Chapel, Jake and Katie Pinho and Josh, Josie and Jason Chaney. Preceded in death by his parents Frank and Marie Doyle, his daughter Victoria, and his sister Patricia (John) Read. Dick lived a good and full life whether it be working, golfing or boating and he was blessed to have a loving wife, children and step children. His many grand and step grandchildren brought him great joy. He attended Kansas City University and proudly served 4 years in the Air Force. He completed the Advanced Management Program at both The Dartmouth Institute at Dartmouth College and Harvard University. He spent 33 years at Borg Warner serving as President of Borg-Warner Acceptance Corp., VP and Controller of Borg Warner Corporate, President of Borg Warner York Air Conditioning, and President and CEO of Borg-Warner Automotive, Inc. where he retired in 1988. Former owner and Board Chairman of Fisher Electric in Kansas City he also served 20 years as a Director of Modine Manufacturing in Racine, WI. At Briar Cliff College, Sioux City he established the Richard J. Doyle Leadership Award 25 years ago, the Richard J. Doyle Computer Center and was awarded an honorary Doctor of Business Administration degree in 1991. He is a previous member of Imperial Golf Club in Naples where he served as President, Naples Athletic Club, Bonita Bay Club, and Brookside Country Club in Columbus. A memorial service will be held at First Presbyterian Church of Bonita Springs, FL where he was an Elder and served 17 years as Treasurer on October 20 at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society or The Bonita Christian Forum at First Presbyterian Church Bonita Springs.
