Richard D. Seitz, 92, of Tiffin, died at 7 pm Wednesday, February 7, 2018, at St. Francis Home. Richard was born May 11, 1925 in Bloomville to Elvin and Myrtle (Waite) Seitz. He first married Geraldine Rae McMeeken June 20, 1952 in Fort Wayne, Indiana and she died December 1, 1992. Richard then married Marilyn Hartman September 9, 1995 and she survives in Tiffin. Survivors include a son, Alan (Kathy) Seitz of Westerville; two grandsons, Matthew (Jolene) Seitz Mark (Maddie) Seitz; and a great-grandson, Henrik Seitz. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife and two brothers Ervin Seitz and Tom Seitz. Richard was a graduate of Bloomville High School and Tiffin University. Richard served in the Army from 1943 to 1946. He was a retired accountant from H G Snyder and Associates in Melmore. He was an avid golfer, bowler and Bridge player and a former member of Washington Street United Methodist Church. Visitation will be 4-7 pm Sunday, February 11, 2018 at the Traunero Funeral Home and Crematory, 214 S. Monroe St., Tiffin, Ohio 44883, (419) 447-3113. Funeral will be 11 am Monday, February 12, 2018 at the funeral home with Father Ronald Baird officiating. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Cemetery, with military rites conducted by the United Veterans Council. Memorial contribution may be made to Community Hospice Care.
