Thomas (Tom) Huffman

January 27, 2017

I am Tom Huffman, son of Lawrence "Gene" Huffman, Dean's cousin. I had the great fortune of knowing Dean and his branch of the family while growing up in West Mansfield until I left the area for college and a career in the Navy. All were inspirational role models for me. I last saw Dean when I was a Midshipman at OSU during the 1970 campus riots and he, in full riot gear, plucked me from an imminent melee and "escorted" me to safety.
My sympathies and prayers are with the family in this loss. May God bless.

This is Aunt Mary. I am so sorry for the loss of Dean. He was such a wonderful and good man, father, husband and citizen. I have so many fond and precious memories of your father. Of course, I miss Phyllis so much too. She was such a loving and kind sister to me. I couldn't have ask for a better sister and brother-in-law than your mom and dad. Please know that I love each one of you. Your mom and dad were proud of each, and their love was always evident to me. I look forward to seeing you. May God, our precious Father, bless you and grant you His peace!
